Infrastructure

Fundamental to delivering good quality education is proper infrastructure. Recognizing this, the college invested and built an impressive infrastructure over the years with audio-visually equipped class rooms, science, computer and language laboratories housed in three multi-storied buildings. The college has separate libraries for the Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses with a combined collection of over 30,000 books. The libraries have been modernized and now provide electronic database and computers with internet access. A cafeteria and photocopying facilities are available on the campus, offering their services at subsidized rates.

Faculty

The emergence of Kasturba Gandhi college as a premier institute re-accredited with an ‘A’ grade by NAAC would not have been possible, but for the 95 members of highly qualified and experienced faculty out of whom 18 hold doctorate degrees.

Academic Standards

True to its motto of “Vidwan Sarvathra Pujyathe” i.e. a scholar is respected everywhere, Kasturba Gandhi College provides an enabling environment to students to acquire knowledge and skills necessary to pursue careers and higher studies. Multi-model instruction methods such as lectures presentations and simulations are adopted to appeal to different learning styles. Remedial classes are held for slow learners to help them cope with the rigors of the course work.

Guest lectures/Seminars/workshops: Persons from the industry and academia are invited to share their insight and experiences. These sessions help students to augment the theoretical knowledge and connect to real world situations.

Placements

The College set up a separate placement cell to cater to the career needs of its students. They are assisted with career guidance and choices by the cell. IT , ITES and paramedical firms such as HSBC, IBM, Wipro, Genpact, and Yashoda Hospitals regularly visit the campus for recruitment. On an average, 60% of the candidates registered with the placement cell get placed each year.
