Sardar Patel College :

In its endeavour to establish a college for boys, in addition to the only Secunderabad College, Osmania University, four decades ago, the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh was on the lookout for a private organisation that could take upon its shoulders the onus of setting up a degree college in the region. The exemplary visionary, late Sri Shankerji, the then Hon. Secretary of the O.G.A. and the then chairman of the A.P. Public Service Commission, was quick to seize the opportunity and initiated the process for the establishment of the first O.G.A. under graduate college for boys.

Thus, Sardar Patel College was born in the series of educational institutions, sponsored by the Osmania Graduates' Association in collaboration with The Exhibition Society. Initially housed in the old law college building at Abids in 1970, it was moved to Padmaraonagar in Secunderabad in a few months time. Its strategic location opened avenues of education for young boys in Secunderabad andsurrounding areas of Malkajgiri, Uppal, Alwal, Kukatpally, Balangar, Dindigal, Ghatkesar, Ranga Reddy District and others.
