Started by U.W.C.A. as a Tutorial College in 1957 under the enthusiastic initiative of Dr. S.Sridevi, the pioneer in women’s education, Sarojini Naidu Vanita Maha Vidyalaya was taken over by the O.G.A. in 1962 under the leadership of Sri Shankerji, Sri Gopal Rao Ekbote and Sri Seetha Ram Reddy and since then is run as a full-fledged College jointly managed by O.G.A. and the Exhibition Society. The foundation stone of the college building was laid by freedom fighter, Sarhad Gandhi – Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan on 24th December, 1969.
