The establishment of the B. Ed. College at Pargi can be traced to the intention of Sri K. Harishwar Reddy, the M.L.A. from that constituency, who suggested that the Osmania Graduates' Association must initialize the process. Sri P. Vasanth Rao and Dr. Gopala Chari, the then President and Secretary of O.G.A. respectively, began to explore the possibility and commenced the required spadework for the purpose. Hon'ble M.L.A. Sri K. Harishwar Reddy assured the Association of required co-operation from the local leadership in addition to securing 10 acres of land in Pargi town at nominal cost. The efforts of Sri P. Vasanth Rao and Dr. T. V. Gopala Chari were complemented by the unstinted support and able guidance of Sri C. B. Namdev, Chairman and Sri P. Narayan Reddy, Secretary of Lal Bahadur College, Warangal, Sri S. Padma Rao, Jt. Secretary O.G.A., Prof. R. Krishna Rao and Prof. S. Sreedhara Swamy, senior faculty from Osmania University and members, O.G.A.

On securing official permission from the government and the Osmania University, the College of Education was inaugurated on 28th Oct. 2000 by Sri T. Devender Goud, then Home Minister and President of Exhibition Society, while Sri K. Harishwar Reddy was the Guest of Honour. Sri K. Harishwar Reddy assisted in getting accommodation at Zilla Parishad High School, Pargi so that the college could start functioning without losing any time. Within one year, college was shifted to its own premises, which was completed at a breakneck speed, thanks to the persistence of Sri B. Venkateshwar, President, O.G.A. Construction of the building was completely financed by the Exhibition Society. The new building was inaugurated by Sri K. Ram Reddy, former Minister, Govt. of A. P. and former President, Exhibition Society.
